Shakira, known for her hit songs like “Hips Don’t Lie” and “Waka Waka,” was recently spotted on a luxury vessel in Miami with Formula 1 legend Lewis Hamilton. The seven-time world champion was seen helping the newly single songstress onto the boat, which was loaded up with surfboards and floating devices.
The pair are believed to have first crossed paths at the celebrity hot spot Cipriani in Downtown Miami after the Miami Grand Prix. Hamilton, joined by fencer Miles Chamley-Watson, picked up Shakira outside her $20 million waterfront mansion. The singer was seen wearing a lilac crop top with long tassels, paired with a matching skirt and cover-up. Meanwhile, Hamilton was dressed in a black tank top with black and white check-print shorts and black sneakers.
Reps for both Shakira and Hamilton did not immediately return comment on the outing.
Shakira recently announced her separation from the father of her two kids, Gerard Piqué, amid reports he cheated on her with his now-girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti. The split was particularly dramatic, as the “Whenever, Wherever” hitmaker reportedly discovered Piqué’s alleged infidelity when she noticed her jam supply was dwindling while she was out of town.
The singer was most recently linked to Tom Cruise after they were spotted together at the Miami Grand Prix. However, a source close to Shakira told US Weekly that she had “no interest in dating him.”
Hamilton, who is friends with Cruise, has been linked to Brazilian model Juliana Nalu, but neither have addressed the rumors.
Despite the recent drama, Shakira seemed to be enjoying her time on the water with Hamilton and Chamley-Watson. The boat day is just the latest in what many are calling the singer’s “single girl era.”
