New York Jets’ cornerback, Sauce Gardner, received custom cleats with Jessica Alba’s face on them, two weeks after he admitted to not knowing who she was during a Knicks game meet-up.
The custom cleats were designed by artist Mike Jordan, who found the situation hilarious and wanted to commemorate the ordeal. The Nike Vapor spikes feature a depiction of Alba in her movie “Honey” on one shoe, and her Susan Storm role in the “Fantastic Four” on the other.
During Game 2 of the Heat-Knicks playoff series, Gardner and Aaron Rodgers were seated courtside with Alba. However, Gardner revealed two days after the game that he had no knowledge of the actress and Rodgers had made fun of him for it all night.
Jordan stated that he wanted to do something fun and hopes that Jessica Alba likes them too. Alba was a great sport about the situation, so it is safe to assume that she will enjoy seeing the spikes on an NFL field this year.
Gardner’s lack of knowledge about Alba provided a comical situation that has now been memorialized on his cleats. The custom design by Mike Jordan is sure to turn heads on the field and provide some lighthearted entertainment for fans.
