The event will be free and open to the public with organizers anticipating letting around 500 people inside the venue. The ceremony will be an overview of his life and legacy in and out of work which touched communities from all walks of life, from politics to entertainment and everything in between. Some famous faces are expected to attend, but the list of guests is still being worked on. The event will include videos, guest speakers and music to honor the legacy of the talk show host. The ceremony will be streamed live so those who cannot attend can also pay their respects.

While the focus of the public service will be on allowing everyday people to pay their respects, the organizers are planning for a celebratory event that will honor Jerry Springer’s life.
