In another Instagram post, Hoda shared a photo of her daughters’ artwork, custom handprint flower paintings, alongside a picture of herself beaming with her girls. Hope shyly grins at the camera, holding a Mickey Mouse-shaped toy. In February, Hoda had taken a leave of absence from the “Today” show due to her daughter’s health scare. Although she did not reveal details about Hope’s hospitalization, she did express how “scary” the incident was for her.

Love Overcomes Fear

Despite the fear and uncertainty that comes with a child’s health scare, Hoda remained positive. She shared her experience of “begging” nurses to allow her to bathe her daughter and how grateful she was for their kindness. Hoda expressed her happiness that both of her daughters are now healthy and full of life. She is grateful for the love and support of her mother, Sameha Kotb, without whom, she writes, “nothing was even possible.”

In the end, Hoda’s story is one of a mother’s love, overcoming fear and uncertainty with hope and gratitude.
