Gogglebox’s Sandra Martin responds to Celebrity Big Brother rumours

Goggleboxer Sandra Martin has responded to claims she’s due to enter the Celebrity Big Brother 2018 house.

Sandra quit the Channel 4 series this year amid rumours she was set for a big reality TV appearance.

Over the years a number of Goggleboxers have taken part in shows like Celebrity Big Brother and I’m A Celebrity.

They include Sandra’s pal Sandi Bogle, who appeared on the summer series of CBB earlier this year.

A source told The Sun newspaper this month: “Sandra is heading into the house – she’s heard a lot about it from Sandi and after Sandi’s success on the show, she wants to try it out herself.

“She’s outgoing, not afraid to speak her mind and wants to grow her profile, so she’ll be great in the house. Sandi told her it’s one of the best things she’s ever done.”

But now Sandra has spoken out to respond to the rumours.

And it’s bad news for those hoping to see Sandra in the house, with her tweeting: “LET ME FINALLY STOP DE RUMOURS OF ME GOING IN TO CBB. I WISH I WAS AS MUCH AS YOU GUYS. BUT THEY HAVE NOT CONTACTED ME AT ALL .

“MAYBE NEXT YEAR DEFINITELY. CAN YOU ASK CBB TO TEK ME THANKS XXXX BOOOOYACKAAA”

Channel 5 confirmed earlier this month that Celebrity Big Brother 2018 will begin with an all female cast and male celebrities will join later.

Presented by Emma Willis, Celebrity Big Brother will initially explore how the all-female housemates interact, from politicians to performing artists, as they enter the house together.

When the male celebrities join, the housemates will take part in a series of “entertaining tasks and hidden experiments”.

Women rumoured to be a part of the cast next month include ITV newsreader India Willoughby, Made In Chelsea’s Ashley James and The Apprentice’s Elizabeth McKenna.

Also tipped to appear are Charlotte Leslie, former MP for Bristol North West, while Boris Johnson’s sister Rachel Johnson has been officially confirmed already.

As for the men, Love Island’s Jonny Mitchell has reportedly signed up to Celebrity Big Brother.

Celebrity Big Brother airs on Channel 5 from Tuesday, January 2.
